A80 optical audio stutter

I have A80 connected to a few years old LG C2 using TOSLINK. When using Plex in the TV every 10 minutes or so there is a short drop in audio. I haven't checked if this happens with other streaming apps. When I had video source from PC the stutters were even more frequent, a few in a minute. Is there anything to do? I'm really pleased with the device otherwise but this is a bit frustrating.
